Alfalfa Hay — Round Bales
DEUTSCH: LUZERNEHEU KAUFEN →(German version)Harvested at the optimal time, alfalfa hay in dense round bales of 300–400 kg. The crop is cut at bud stage and baled at dew point to limit leaf loss, with 16–20% crude protein. It is fully field-dried — no fermentation, no wrapping — so it is a classic, storage-stable hay, kept in a dry barn until it is loaded. Sold by weight: every load is weighed and you pay for the exact kilograms delivered.

Truck loading
Hay is loaded on two different types of semi-trailer — the trailer type decides the quantity: • MEGA trailer (2.8 m internal height): 44 bales, approx. 15 tonnes. An extra row is NOT possible on this type. • JUMBO trailer (3 m height, with a roof that lifts for loading): 64 bales, approx. 22–24 tonnes. Bales average ~350 kg, so the final weight depends on the actual weight of the bales in the lot — 24 tonnes is not guaranteed. You only pay for the kilograms actually weighed.
